Best Darn Pot of Beans E'er - Homestyle Pinto Beans w/ a Force per unit area Cooker Option

Prep Time xv minutes

Cook Fourth dimension five hours

Total Time 5 hours 15 minutes

Servings 10 -12

Calories 215 kcal

  • 2 cup dried pinto beans soaked for at least 12 hours in lots of absurd water and a couple of tablespoons raw apple cider vinegar. While the soaking is optional, this helps break down some the phytates that give lots of people gas. Be sure to rinse them well after soaking to get rid of all it!   • 1 ham hock optional, Only SO WORTH IT!!

  • 1 pocket-sized onion finely diced

  5. In an Instant Pot, apply the 'Transmission' button and select 20 minutes. May be chosen 'pressure cook" on newer models (any high pressure level program for 20ish minutes is fine). *Stovetop directions below in 'notes'*

  6. When the fourth dimension is up, striking 'cancel'. Await for the pressure to come down naturally, or exercise a quick release as preferred. The beans will continue to cook in the side by side stride.
